There is sadness, heartache and pain along this journey.
We can choose to be angry. We can choose to let frustration get the better of us. But that gains us nothing but additional heartache and despair. By choosing to love despite the difficult circumstances, we can rise above and experience joy and peace. The way our family chooses to love, gives us the strength to persevere, the courage to stay in the fight, and the hope we need to endure this journey. Despite your circumstances, live out your life with strength, courage and hope.

Spaghetti with Spinach, Garlic, and Lemon
Spaghettini with Spinach, Garlic and Lemon
If there is a recipe with pasta, garlic, and lemon in it....most likely I will try it!
I found this one and its another home run!
I love the light taste of the lemon, the color and addition of the spinach, and it's even something my kids will eat!
To Make:
1 lb spaghettini, angel hair or spaghetti pasta
6 tablespoons olive oil
8 garlic cloves, crushed or minced
zest of one lemon
juice of one lemon
10 oz bag of baby spinach
salt and pepper to taste
What to do:
First, bring a large pot of well salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions.
Then, in a skillet heat, 6 tablespoons olive oil over medium low heat.
Add garlic and cook for 10 to 12 minutes to gently cook the garlic.
Add lemon zest and lemon juice.
Season with salt and pepper.
Drain pasta well and transfer to a large bowl. Immediately add spinach and garlic lemon oil and toss everything together. Mound the pasta on a large platter and serve.

One of the most important challenges of your life is to heal the wounds of the past so you don't continue to bleed.
Until you do, you are literally dragging the weight of your past into your present.
And that makes it nearly impossible to move forward.
